Bubli – Privacy Policy

The short version for parents: Bubli is a drawing and learning app for children aged 2 to 8. It has no accounts and no sign-up. The child's first name and age are stored only on your device and are never sent to us or to anyone else. The app shows ads set up for children (child-directed and non-personalised) between activities.

1. Who we are

2. What the app keeps on your device

When the app is first opened, a parent or child enters a first name and an age. The app also remembers how many coins the child has earned and which voice language (English or Hindi) was chosen. This information:

is stored only inside the app on your phone or tablet;
is never sent to our servers, to analytics, or to any third party (we have no servers for this app);
is never used for advertising;
is deleted when you uninstall the app or clear its data in your device settings.

3. What we do not collect

No account, email address, phone number or password.
No location, contacts, photos, camera or microphone access.
No analytics, tracking or behavioural profiling of children.
No in-app purchases, and no links that take a child out of the app.

4. Ads

Bubli is supported by ads shown through Google AdMob. Because the app is made for children:

every ad request is marked as child-directed and as coming from a user under the age of consent;
ads are non-personalised and limited to content rated suitable for all ages (G);
the app does not request or use the device's advertising ID;
ads appear only at natural breaks (for example when opening a section, or after a letter has been finished and the child has been drawing for a while), never in the middle of drawing.

To deliver and protect ads, Google's ad software may process limited technical information such as the device type, app information and IP address, as described in Google's advertising policies and Google's privacy policy. We do not control this processing and we do not give Google the child's name or age.

5. Voice

The app speaks to the child using the text-to-speech engine that is already on the device. It only speaks the prompts for letters and numbers ("Draw the letter A", "Good job"). It never speaks, and never sends, the child's name. The device's own speech engine (for example Google or Samsung) is governed by its provider's privacy policy.

6. Children's privacy

Bubli is designed for children and built to follow the rules that protect them, including the US Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the EU General Data Protection Regulation and the UK Age Appropriate Design Code, India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 and Google Play's Families Policy. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children on our servers because the app does not send personal information anywhere.

7. Your choices

See or delete everything the app stores: uninstall the app, or on Android go to Settings > Apps > Bubli > Storage > Clear data.
Change the voice language: Profile tab inside the app.
Ad choices: because ads are non-personalised and child-directed, there is no ad profile to opt out of. You can also use your device's parental controls.

8. Security

The saved information lives in the app's private storage on the device and is protected by the device's own security. Because nothing is sent to us, there is no account or database of children that could be breached.

9. Changes to this policy

If we change how the app works with data, we will update this page and the "last updated" date above, and update the app's listing before the change is released.
